Jonathan Schipper

"A self-defined singularity of existence and purpose. A fascination with interdependent parasitic life forms. We are surrounded by rules and regulations, known and unknown. Definitions of space and placement of self in conjunction with hierarchy and sanity.

"A cow is nothing more than a food item. I wish to create a mechanism that places the self in line with the hamburger. A cow must be cared for; a rancher knows what is best for the cow and designs instruments to confine and control the cow in order to insure its well being.

"Humans have purpose and identity, we know where we are going and what for. 'We are not dictated to by superior forces, we define forces.'

We believe in ourselves and believe in our purpose. I want to be reduced to a machine by machine. I want this to destroy my ego and I don't. We feel relaxed in our ability to define other as animal, as thing. I want to realize myself as thing, flesh, food, processable, feedable, beautiful."
