Featuring Secret Agent Gel's Biotech Braindance
Thursday, September 7, 2000
5 - 7pm FREE ADMISSION
HERE Arts Center
New York City

What do your brain waves sound like? Let Secret Agent Gel, electronic musician extraordinaire, take your synaptic signals to new heights of musical funkiness! Though Secret Agent Gel will perform for one night only, you can see the Biotech Braindance helmet on display at the gallery exhibition through October 14th.
The PaperVeins Biennial 2000 opening night gala is September 7, 2000 from 5pm to 7pm at the HERE Arts Center in SoHo, New York City. For a preview of the gallery exhibition (along with biographical information about all the artists), click here.
PaperVeins artist and executive director Virgil Wong states,"I'm overwhelmed with the caliber and inventiveness of the artists participating in this year's Biennial. This show is a truly organic, interactive, and eye-opening experience for the unsuspecting visitor."
Other features of the gallery exhibition include Chicago Art Institute teacher Eric Wielowski's unnerving and uncontrollable Smart Child digital installation and the beautifully modular and narrative paintings of Metropolitan Museum of Art lecturer William Crow.
PaperVeins is a not-for-profit artists organization dedicated to innovative work about contemporary medicine, new technologies, and the human body. PaperVeins was founded in 1995 by Virgil Wong and has produced outstanding art shows at venues throughout New York City including Gallery 128, Galapagos, The Knitting Factory, Collective:Unconscious, and ABC No Rio.
